Anita Maclaurin is an AAUT award winning enabling educator, trained high school teacher and creative art therapist. She is currently a university lecturer and the owner/creator of Conscious Curriculums. Previously an International Baccalaureate teacher, a Curriculum Coordinator and Teaching and Learning Coach, Anita brings 25 years of diverse education experience to the design space. Her design process is driven by a rigorous understanding of educational philosophies and pedagogies, and her teaching and learning approach is underpinned by social justice ideals, constructivist theory and educational psychology. She aims to transform learning through explicit reflection on the learning journey and intentionally creating safe and positive learning communities. Her research focus is on holistic curriculum design, trauma informed pedagogies and the emotional labour demands on educators.
